Technology is everywhere these days, and the gym is no exception. We have gadgets that can track our movement, our caloric intake and more. But with so many to choose from, how do you know which are best? The following four are some of my favorite!

Umoro One Shaker

This very reasonably priced shaker has it all. You can use it to both store and drink your water as well as your protein shakes. How is this possible, you ask? The pre-measured protein powder is stored in a separate compartment at the top of the bottle. With the press of a button, it mixes with the water and you have your protein shake! Now you don’t have to travel with a water bottle, protein shaker bottle and your protein!

Digitsole Smart Shoes

What makes a shoe a “smart” shoe? Not only do the Digitsole Smart Shoes tighten themselves, they also have the capability to keep your feet warm while you work out. Once they reach a temperature threshold they automatically turn off in order to conserve battery life. In addition to these neat features, they also help track your activity, much like a wearable wristband. They track your distance traveled, steps taken and more. The information is then synced via Bluetooth 4.0 with your smartphone! The Digitsoles are not being sold in stores just yet, but they will be available soon!

Trace Fitness Tracker

Trace is the fitness tracker built specifically for action sports like surfing, snowboarding or skateboarding. It can be mounted right on the board where it will log the tricks you’ve landed, speed and more. It then syncs the data to your smartphone app. The great thing about the app is it is social, which allows you to see what stunts others are doing!

Sensoria Smart Sock

These smart socks actually get feedback from the ankles. Why? Because that’s where the pressure signals are. Sensoria Smart Socks are designed specifically for runners. They will tell you how well you’ve been running and how you can improve your performance. Even with sensors built in the socks, they are still as washable and comfortable as a conventional pair of socks. If you must wear socks while you work out, they might as well be smart socks!

From smart sneakers to smart socks, there is a fitness gadget out there for everyone. I highly recommend the Umoro One Shaker, Digitsole Smart Shoes, Trace Fitness Tracker and Sensoria Smart Socks.
